Playa Del Ingles has grown up around the long sandy beach which stretches down as far as the sand dunes in the quieter resort of Maspalomas. Playa del Ingles is the island´s main commercial centre with plenty of duty-free shops and malls such as the Kasbah, Metro and Cita which change their focus to discos and nightclubs once the sun goes down.
