Its one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands, with great nightlife and gorgeous sandy beaches among the best in the Mediterranean. Kavos, is pulsing with life appealing to party people. To the north of the island are the resorts of Roda and Sidari with a beautiful backdrop of mountains, wonderful beaches and warm shallow water - real family favourites! Arillas and Aghios Gordios attract honeymooners, and for all round romantics, Kassiopi's picturesque harbour offers a traditional village atmosphere and the resorts of Paleocastritsa and Glyfada are simply beautiful. Just north of Corfu town are the popular resorts of Dassia and Gouvia.

Psarras is a small nook of peace and tranquillity tucked away approx. 20 minutes walk from Messonghi. There are a couple of tiny coves where good rock bathing is possible, and a pebbly strand shelves gently into crystalline water where it is sandy underfoot. A few local tavernas offer daytime diversion, but Messonghi has a better choice of nightime pursuits. Psarras is perfect for getting away from it all and basking in the rural charm of a Greece which has not altered since Granny's time.
