Kalamaki is situated at the end of Laganas beach and is close to Zakynthos Town and Argassi. This is a peaceful resort, boasting some of the island's best restaurants along with an increasingly varied choice of bars, tourist shops and tavernas.

The long, soft, sandy beach is the main attraction and, as well as being a relaxing location for couples and families, is the main nesting ground for the endangered loggerhead turtle. The resort's proximity to the airport means a speedy transfer, but some areas may be affected by aircraft noise.
