Just 10 kilometres from the hotel is the town of Varadero, a veritable breath of fresh air which seeks to reveal to visitors part of the magic of Cuba. Customer Review: "My husband & I just returned from one week in Cuba & Iberostar Tainos. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and make the most of your visit. We enjoyed the smaller size of the resort and, while it is a ways from the actual town of Varadero (about 10 km), we found it to be a great location for long walks on the beach and also for taking part in any of the organized tours that involved water (catamaran, jet ski adventure) as the marina is right across the street so short to no bus ride. (On the catamaran day we skipped the dolphin show and just walked back to the resort). We liked both of the restaurants and found that there was more than ample choice at the buffet. We would recommend requesting a bungalow though. We remembered once we had already checked in that this was something that was advised in other posts so we asked if we could be switched and they were able to accomodate us for the following day. Our hotel room faced the entrance to the hotel so we found it to be fairly noisy throughout the night from the tour buses. Having stayed in the hotel & bungalows, overall, they are clean but quite basic and there are some aspects that could use some TLC (fresh paint, minor updating) but at the end of the day, how much time is spent in the room anyways? We had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway."
