This classic Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit combines the Tarangire National Park - renowned for its elephants and baobab trees, the "Pearl" of East Africa, Lake Manyara National Park - famous for its tree-climbing lions and bird-life and the world's largest caldera - Ngorongoro Crater, sheltering one of the most unique wildlife eco systems in Africa. Combine all this with the exotic Indian Ocean Island of Zanzibar into the perfect bush and beach holiday or honeymoon! Day 1: Arusha. On arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your representative and transferred to Arusha. Overnight in the Arusha Hotel on a B&B Basis. Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire. This morning you will be met by your driver/guide and after a short briefing you depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Note: Our safaris are all in a 4x4 with a driver/guide and you have the vehicle to YOURSELF - NO sharing!
Enjoy lunch and an afternoon guided safari. Overnight at the Maramboi Tented Camp on a Full Board Basis. This is a unique opportunity to experience and explore the Tarangire ecosystem. Maramboi Tented Camp offers endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. A visit to the area is essential for anyone interested in evolution and the origins of Mankind and an explanation of the Rift Valley. It is a complete semi desert experience focusing on safari walks and game drives. Tarangire National Park has an abundance of game during the dry season, June to early November it is spectacular because of the abundance of game. Tarangire also has its own migration of wildebeest and zebra and other animals that roam this land are Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and if you are really lucky the African Wild Dog. Tarangire is famous for its huge herds of elephant and there are still a few big tuskers. Over 517 bird species have been identified in the park which makes it a birders paradise. Day 3: Tarangire. Full day Tarangire safari with picnic lunch. Overnight at the Maramboi Tented Camp on a Full Board Basis. Day 4: Safari to Manyara. Depart Tarangire and arrive at your Lodge in time for lunch. PM Lake Manyara safari. Overnight at the Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge on a Full Board Basis. Lake Manyara, a small breathtaking National Park with an immense natural richness - home to over 380 bird species, including the thousands of flamingos that tint the soda waters of the Lake pink. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which for reasons unknown sleep in the branches of acacia trees. Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge is strategically located on the very edge of the vertiginous western escarpment of the Rift Valley, affording magnificent views across the Lake. Day 5: Manyara to Ngorongoro. AM Lake Manyara safari before you depart for Ngorongoro, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the Ngorongoro Farmhouse on a Full Board Basis. Enjoy freshly roasted coffee from the Ngorongoro Farm House's own coffee plantation. The 500 acre farm supplies organic fruit, vegetable and animal produce to the Farmhouse restaurant, as well as its sister lodges, ensuring the highest quality and freshest food possible.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Safari. Depart early and enjoy a full day Ngorongoro Crater game drive with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro crater hosts almost every species in the region except giraffe (they can't negotiate the steep inclines). There are lion, cheetah, hippo, plains species and a myriad of birds. The 102sq mile floor is surrounded by the intact crater walls rising up over 1,000ft to the rim. Late afternoon return transfer to Arusha, where you overnight in the Zawadi House on a B&B Basis Day 7: Arusha to Zanzibar. Morning at leisure which you can use to shop for a few last minute souvenirs, before you are transferred to Arusha Airport in time for the flight to Zanzibar. Flight from Arusha to Zanzibar with ZAN Air, departing 14:00pm, arriving 15:20pm.
On arrival In Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to the Nungwi Beach Hotel. Spend six nights at the Langi Langi Beach Bungalows in a Standard Room on a B&B Basis. Named after the aromatic flower, Langi Langi Beach Bungalows is situated on the Fines island of Zanzibar, a resort in Nungwi village on the North Coast and the most central accommodation and tourist destination. The North end of Zanzibar is famous for deep sea fishing, fantastic swimming beaches and dhow making. PADI diving courses, snorkelling and sailing are among the pastimes you can enjoy here. The resort is situated on the most beautiful land in Nungwi with its bungalows facing the ocean, pool or the garden. Day 13: Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam. Private transfer from the Nungwi Beach Hotel to the Zanzibar Airport in time for the flight to Dar Es Salaam. Depart Zanzibar at 17:30pm, arriving Dar Es Salaam at 17:50pm, where you connect on to the international flight.
