Guest Review: "My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at the Silversands resort and we loved our stay. Go there if you're looking to relax! So many pools, you'll always be able to order a drink, and the food is plentiful. Some people complained about the serving sizes, but I thought they were perfect - you get an app a side and a main course plus dessert. You really should not be hungry after that!
It really is gorgeous, love that it's spankin new & clean, the rooms are a great size and the food was tasty. The service was top notch, waiters, servers, bartenders - everyone was so friendly, accommodating & polite. No one waited around to be tipped or expected to be tipped, but we made sure to tip for doing such an awesome job (you should too)!
Listen, we didn't get champagne or warm towels when we checked in (we arrived later in the day, I don't know if that had anything to do with it?), but even with no champagne, and even though they didn't surprise us for our honeymoon by putting up a banner on our door when we first arrived (they did that later) and even though our room had no towels when we first arrived (they were later brought to us, when we called in) - we had an awesome time! Let go, relax and have a drink!
You really do make the trip fun with the people you have around & we had a blast with each other & meeting other people. I didn't want to be that cheesy married couple that only talked about wedding details - so over that! So I was happy to mingle with people from different states and countries.
We stayed for 5 nights and I'm not sure if it's titled as a 4 or 5 stars, but we thought we got an amazing deal at Silversands. We're from California are we just use to higher prices? What do people mean by not being "true luxury"? Do you want someone to wipe your mouth off when your eating? You cannot find service like that in the U.S. If you're looking for something wrong, you'll always find it, my biggest trip to travelers is just enjoy the trip and memories, the less you have planned the more fun you'll find, you'll find a million fun things to do along the way, day-trips...etc!"
