Day 1
Arrive Christchurch (10 km) On arrival at Christchurch Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package).
Day 2
Christchurch / Kaikoura (183km)
This morning you will be taken to Kaikoura on board the Tranz Coastal Train. (Self-drive passengers make your own way to Kaikoura). On arrival in Kaikoura you can enjoy a Whale Watch Tour by boat.
Day 3
Kaikoura /Blenheim/ Nelson (245km)
This morning you will be transferred to the train station to continue your journey to Blenheim. On arrival in Blenheim you have some free time for lunch before a seat-in-coach transfer to Nelson. (Self-drive passengers make your own way from Kaikoura to Nelson).
Day 4
Day at leisure - Nelson Free day in Nelson.
Day 5
Nelson / Punakaiki (246km)
Travel south today down the West Coast of the South Island to Punakaiki.
Day 6
Punakaiki / Christchurch (302km) This morning travel the short drive from Punakaiki to Greymouth. (Self-drive passengers drop off your rental car at the Greymouth Depot) where you will meet the Tranz Alpine train to return to Christchurch. On arrival in Christchurch your departure transfer to the airport is included.
