Day 1
Arrive Christchurch (10km) On arrival at Christchurch Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2
Christchurch/Dunedin (375km) Self-drive passengers collect your rental vehicle for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package. Travel south to Dunedin - the Edinburgh of the South. On arrival in Dunedin transfer to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dunedin. Highlights of your tour include the historic buildings, Olveston House and Dunedin Railway.
Day 3
Dunedin/Te Anau (290km) Morning at your leisure. This afternoon depart your hotel and journey across the rich farming country of South Otago and Southland. Pass Lumsden, Mossburn and the first glimpses of Fiordland. On arrival in Te Anau your driver will drop you off at your hotel.
Day 4
Te Anau/Milford Sound/Queenstown (412km)
This morning depart your hotel by either seat-in-coach tour or by car for today’s thrilling journey to Milford Sound. Travel through the beautiful Eglington and Hollyford valleys, the beech forests, the Homer Tunnel and the awesome Cleddau Canyon. A cruise on Milford Sound to see the majesty of Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls is included. Lunch on board is available at an extra charge. Return via Te Anau to Kingston and alongside Lake Wakatipu to reach Queenstown. On arrival in Queenstown your driver will drop you off at your hotel (seat-in-coach passengers).
Day 5
Day at leisure - Queenstown A full day free for you to select your optional sightseeing: Thrilling jet boat rides, vintage steamer lake cruises, visit to high country sheep stations, mountain gondola rides - the list is endless and you also have time to relax and simply marvel at the beautiful scenery.
Day 6
Queenstown/Mount Cook/Christchurch (620km) This morning depart your hotel for your journey through Kawarau Gorge then over the Lindis Pass. The plains of the MacKenzie Country lie before you and the Southern Alps to your left as you reach Mount Cook National Park. Across Burkes Pass to Geraldine and Canterbury Plains to Christchurch where your tour ends. Tour ends with drop off at airport (approximately 1915) or hotel (approximately 1930). (Self-drive passengers return your rental car directly to airport depot).
