Day 1
Arrive Auckland (30km) On arrival at Auckland Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Self Drive passengers collect your rental vehicle for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package).
Day 2
Auckland/Waitomo/Rotorua (370km) This morning depart Auckland and travel south. The Bombay Hills signal the end of the sprawling city and the lush Waikato pasturelands take you to Hamilton and on to Waitomo Caves for a subterranean boat ride under an eerie canopy of lights. Lunch is included. On across the Waikato and the Mamaku Hills to the famous thermal centre, Rotorua to your hotel. We recommend you attend a fascinating Maori “hangi” (feast) and concert tonight. (Optional).
Day 3
Rotorua/Auckland (260km) A half day sightseeing tour of Rotorua includes entrance to Te Puia, the native garden setting of Rainbow Springs and the entertaining and informative Agrodome Sheep Show. (Self-drive passengers - entrance voucher for included sights are provided). This afternoon depart Rotorua for your return journey to Auckland where your tour ends at the InterCity Coach Terminal, Skycity Hotel. Tour ends at approximately 1800. (Self-drive passengers return your rental car to airport depot or add additional days).
