** GRAND ESCORTED TOUR OF PRAGUE, VIENNA AND BUDAPEST ** On this magical tour we visit some of the greatest cities in Eastern Europe! You explore Prague - the breathtaking Bohemian capital of the Czech Republic, Vienna - the great Imperial capital of the Hapsburg Empire and Budapest - the beautiful Pearl of the Danube.
Guaranteed departure dates: 15 to 22 March, 13 to 20 April, 11 to 18 May, 08 to 15 June, 06 to 13 July,10 to 17 August, 07 to 14 Sept & 21 to 28 Sept - please call and book your departure to suit YOU ! Day 1: ARRIVAL PRAGUE On your arrival at the Prague Airport, you are met and transferred to your Hotel. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight Prague in the Hotel Panorama Corinthia on a B&B Basis. Ideally located in a peaceful area just outside the city centre, your Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore the city.
Day 2: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF PRAGUE - OLD TOWN & NEW TOWN Following breakfast you enjoy a guided tour of the most interesting sights of Prague, including the city center, Old Town Square with its famous medieval astronomical clock from the 15th Century, the Jewish Quarter and its synagogues, the shopping street Na Prikope and the New Town of Prague including Wenceslas Square. You have time to shop for bargains such as the famous Bohemian crystal or explore Prague on your own. Don’t miss the chance to see the unique performances in Prague’s Black Theaters in the evening (on own account). Overnight Prague in the Hotel Panorama Corinthia on a B&B Basis. Day 3: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF PRAGUE CASTLE This morning you experience the magical atmosphere of the historical area of Prague across the Vltava river. You visit the Prague Castle and St.Vitus Cathedral with the tombs of the Bohemian Kings, the Royal Palace and the picturesque Golden Lane. Continue through the Lesser Town to the Charles Bridge which crosses the Vltava River and takes you from the Prague Castle area to the Old Town. We recommend an evening 2 hour boat cruise on he Vltava River which includes a buffet meal, typical Czech accordion music and the charm of the illuminated city (for own account). Overnight Prague in the Hotel Panorama Corinthia on a B&B Basis. Day 4: PRAGUE – BRNO – VIENNA After checking out of the Hotel, you depart the Czech Republic for Austria, visiting the capital city of South Moravia – Brno en-route. The second largest city in the country, Brno offers the magnificent Peter and Paul Cathedral, Spilberk Hill and many other interesting sights. Short stop for lunch before continuing on to Vienna, where on arrival you check into the Hotel Ario Vienna located just next to the Oberlaa spa gardens. Remainder of your day at leisure. B&B
Day 5: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF VIENNA Today's guided sightseeing tour includes the Hoffburg Palace, Parliament Buildings, Opera House, St. Stephen's Cathedral and a walk through the oldest part of the city. Your Tour Director will share one of the Hidden Treasures of this fascinating city with you. We recommend you enjoy a dinner of Viennese specialties at a 'Heurige', a local wine tavern situated just outside Vienna (for own account). Overnight Vienna in the Hotel Ario on a B&B Basis. Day 6: VIENNA – GYOR - BUDAPEST After checking out of the Hotel, you depart Austria for Hungary, visiting the beautiful city of Gyor situated halfway between Vienna and Budapest en-route. On arrival in Budapest you check in to the Hotel Grand Hungaria before a short short walking tour of Hungary's capital. Remainder of your evening at leisure. B&B Day 7: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF BUDAPEST You start today with a half day guided tour in Buda, including the Castle District & Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion with its beautiful panoramic views. We then take you via the Gellert Hill to Pest and show you the famous Central Market Hall, followed by a visit to the largest Synagogue in Europe, the Amusement City Park, the monumental Heroes’ Square and the grandiose Houses of Parliament. Your afternoon is free to sightsee or shop. Optional Hungarian Evening and farewell dinner will be arranged for those wishing to participate. Overnight Budabest in the Hotel Grand Hungaria on a B&B Basis. Day 8: DEPART BUDAPEST Sadly today you depart, however before you do, you can enjoy your remaining time at leisure before being transferred to the Budapest Airport in time for your departure flight.
