Lying south of Lanzarote and seperated only by a narrow stretch of water, the island of Fuerteventura is becoming more established with every passing year. Making its mark in a delightfully languorous fashion, Fuerteventura is perhaps cleverly avoiding the brash, "honky tonk" element and is infinetely more suitable for a walk on the quiet side. The island is long and skinny and its best asset is the wonderful beaches with expanses of delicate golden sands and clear water, ideal for underwater pursuits.
