Barcelona is a great city to visit with loads of interesting places to visit and see. The shops are amazing and offer a wide variety of things to buy. Shop in the chic area known as the born which has many boutique style shops. The city of Barcelona exudes character and charm. In exploring the streets you will find the old medieval heart of the city still exists with the Gothic quarter and many awe inspiring architectural delights. This city is famous for Gaudi and Picasso. Take the cable car up Montjuic which offers great views of the city. Visit the Sagrada Familia which is still being finished to Gaudi inspiring designs. The artistic legacy of this city is renowned and offers lots of museums containg a wide variety of portfolios from Picasso to Dali and more.
Shopping Barcelona
The city itself is also a shopping mecca, with a flair and sophistication reflected in the many small boutiques. Its food markets are infamous, offering sights and smell unique to this city. Try the Jamon iberico here and sit back and rejax. Dinner in spain is eaten late in the evenings between 9pm and 11pm and foreigners find this hard to get used to, however adapt your timings and enjoy the atmopshere that is uniquely Barcelonian. The born area is the best area in the city to enjoy lovely small restaurants that exude character. Two of my favourites in the born include La Fianna and nearby La Luna.

Weather in Barcelona.The weather in Barcelona is realtively good all year round, albeit it naturally colder in winter. The ideal months to go are April, May, June and September with July and August getting a little too hot. Most of the local escape the heat in August and head up the coast. January is the coldest month, with top temperatures ranging from 50 °F to 55 °F
