Miami is the in place to be as it literally has everything a
tourist could want, sun sea, sand, nighlife to beat the band and a seductive
Latin American slant that gives this city an edge like no other. The Art deco
capital of the world there is a lot to do and see in this city and surrounding
area.
So when is the best time to go to Miami? My suggestion would
be the winter time as it is the most ideal weather wise and it does not get
overly hot. Avoid July and August as it can get very hot at this time of year
with the ocassional thunderstorm and hurricance although accommodation is very
affordable at this time of year.
Miami is often referred to as the retirement capital of the
world, however the city has moved on since the 80's as it has become a brash
playgound for the young, rich and sometimes famous. Make sure to visit South
Beach as it has a lot to see if not for the outrageous colour and art deco
connoctions on offer.
The climate in Miami is sub-tropical in nature with plenty of
sunshine most of the year round. Make sure to don your sun cream as temperatures
can sore here year round particulary in the heigh of summer where temperates can
reach up to 40*C. It is also very humid.
The Miami timezone is GMT -4. The main airport is Miami
international airport and is situated about 16 kilometres west od Miami itself.
The airport has good ground transport into the city with a public bus service
connecting the airport with the city while you also have a host of public
transport options available.

The best way to get around Miami is to use their public bus service, fares are
standard to all stops. A metro rail link also connects north and south Miami.
Most visitors tend to hire a car or use taxis, depending on how far they need to

Recommended Restaurants in Miami:
Due to its Cuban influence in Miami, plenty of Cuban restaurants to be found all
over the city. There is a also a style of food called Floribean - a combination
of Latin, Caribbean and Cuban cuisine. Restaurants range from steak houses to
