Make sure to visit South Beach as it has a lot to see if not for the outrageous colour and art deco connoctions on offer.

The climate in Miami is sub-tropical in nature with plenty of sunshine most of the year round. Make sure to don your sun cream as temperatures can sore here year round particulary in the heigh of summer where temperates can reach up to 40*C. It is also very humid.

The Miami timezone is GMT -4. The main airport is Miami international airport and is situated about 16 kilometres west od Miami itself. The airport has good ground transport into the city with a public bus service connecting the airport with the city while you also have a host of public transport options available.

How to get around Miami:

The best way to get around Miami is to use their public bus service, fares are standard to all stops. A metro rail link also connects north and south Miami. Most visitors tend to hire a car or use taxis, depending on how far they need to go.

Due to its Cuban influence in Miami, plenty of Cuban restaurants to be found all over the city. There is a also a style of food called Floribean - a combination of Latin, Caribbean and Cuban cuisine.
