Manila has a very hot, humid climate most of the year round. It is at its coolest between November and February. Avoid May/June if you can as these are the hotest months.

The main airport in Manila is called Ninoy Aquino. The Airport is located about 8 kilometres south of Manila. The time difference is GMT +8. You can catch a taxi into the city centre outside the main terminsals, but you should prebook the taxi before leaving teh airport at one of the Taxi offices. On presentation of your receipt you will be escorted to an official metered taxi. There is also a bus service into the city center leaving the airport every 15 minutes.

Money used : The currency is called the Peso (pHP for short) which is then divided into a hundred centravos. Most of the major credit cards are excepted city wide while travellers cheques are rarely excepted. US Dollars are accepted openly in Manila, otherwise you will have to change Euros and Pounds Sterling at a local bank.
