Casa Rosada - one of the most famous balconies of the Presidential Palace. This pink building has been the scene of many political rallies.
Cabildo - Opposite the Casa Rosada is the famous former Spanish town hall
Teatro Colon - The 2nd largest performing arts theatre in the Southern Hemisphere
La Boca - Famous colourful neighbourhood, and home of Diego Maradona and the Tango.
Buenos Aires Zoo - Home to over 350 different species and known for some of it's exotic breeding
Shopping - Galerias Pacifico, Abasto de Buenos Aires, Alto Palermo Shopping.
Transport in Buenos Aires:
The best way to explore Buenos Aires is by foot, but the city is also served by a cheap and efficient public transport system. There are also cheap taxis everywhere, but probably best to book one in advance.
Restaurants in Buenos Aires:
Argentina is famous for its beef, and in particular its steak houses.
There are numerous walk through places in the city, where you can buy a hot dog, beef sausage, or an empanada which is pastry stuffed with cheese and meats.
Gran Cafe Tortini: This is a grand coffee house with lots of history, and an olde world charm of it's own. It's also unpretentious with lots of people watchers sipping their Argentinean coffee.
