Morocco’s most famous beach resort, Agadir is one of those must-see sun-soaked destinations. Brimming with sandy beaches, bustling markets, museums, restaurants, bars, and crashing waves, Agadir holidays are perfect for families and adults alike.
Things to Do in Agadir
- Discover the real argan oil. Argan oil – sometimes called Moroccan oil – is the new miracle worker in haircare and skincare, and in Agadir you can sample it at its source.
- Hit the souqs for some shopping. The markets of Agadir offer a souvenir selection to rival Marrakech but often at a lower price.
- Sip cocktails on the beachfront after spending the day basking in the Moroccan sunshine.
- Take a trip to Taghazout, a hippy resort and a surfing mecca. Located just outside of Agadir, Taghazout is the perfect place to unwind on a beach, sip mint tea in a café or surf some incredible waves.
Best Time to Go
Apr-Oct: Good weather all year, but this is the best beach season. Agadir's location is quite sheltered, so the weather tends to be relatively calm throughout the year. The region also enjoys about 300 days of sunshine a year, so there isn't any particularly bad time to plan Agadir holidays.
Why We Love It
“Agadir is a fantastic sun destination. The 10km beach is the jewel in the crown and definitely not to be missed, however the souks (markets), fishing port, marina and the old Kasbah (fort) are also well worth checking out”
