  • Climb all 500 steps to Waterfall Hilltop Temple. This is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Penang and is certainly a must see attraction if planning a holiday to Penang.

Best time to Visit:

Dec-Jan: The weather is warm, sunny and dry. Avoiding the hot and humid rainy season makes sightseeing a lot easier. This is peak season however, so be prepared for higher hotel prices. 
Penang tends to stay quite hot all year, however the high humidity there can cause a lot of showers. The average temperature for the year is roughly 30 degrees. 
Many festivals take place in Penang throughout the year. The Thaipusam festival takes place on January 17th, join the crowds in their dragon dances, Chinese opera and other colorful celebrations. Book a last minute holiday to Penang and join in on the celebrations of upcoming festivals.
