France Holidays

Beautiful beaches, Medieval castles, and iconic cities make France one of Europe’s top holiday destinations. Offering skiing in winter and sun-drenched beaches in summer, France holidays are perfect any time of year.

Things to Do in France

  • The capital city of Paris is worth a visit. The iconic Eiffel Tower would be first on most people's lists, also visit the Louvre, and just watch the city go by in the laidback Jardin du Luxembourg.
  • Take a trip to Disneyland. Watch your favourite film characters come to life and take in some of the dazzling performances on a visit to Disneyland – perfect for families.
  • Tour a champagne house. Our favourite is Champagne Barnaut in Bouzy. Only a 2 hour drive from Paris, this house produces both champagne and red wine and is perfect for couples looking for an interesting day trip.
  • Lounge on sun-soaked beaches of Cote d’Azur. The beaches of Cannes, St. Tropez and Nice are undeniably beautiful during the summer, however if you would rather avoid the crowds head for more secluded Plage de l’Estagnol.

Best Time to Visit

France enjoys a temperate climate with cool winter and warm summers. The best time to visit depends on what you plan to do. If you’re hoping to go skiing in the Alps then the winter months of December and January are ideal.

For sun-drenched beach holidays to Cote d’Azur late May to October is bliss, although July and August can get a little crowded in the popular resorts.

Every May France plays host to the world-famous Cannes Film Festival. Featuring the best in international films, movie screenings and throngs of celebrities, this is a peak time for tourists to visit. Book your accommodation well in advance.

In June France celebrates music from around the globe at Fete de la Music. This is an ideal time for music lovers to visit with free concerts and live music performances, you’re bound to be well entertained.

Watch fireworks erupt behind the Eiffel Tour in celebration of Bastille Day. Taking place on 14th July, Bastille Day marks France’s revolution.

Why We Love It

Celine  “There’s a reason France is one of the world’s most visited holiday destinations: the beaches in the south, the cosmopolitan cities, the wine and the food – it’s all amazing!”
