All of the Algarve is known for its hot and sunny weather. On average there is 300 sunny days a year. Summer is peak tourist season in Carvoeiro. The average temperature is in the mid 20’s and blue skies and sunshine are in abundance. The sea is the perfect temperature for swimming, usually a lovely 23 degrees.
In autumn, the temperatures drop slightly and crowds begin to leave. The average temperature is 15 degrees. Some tourists prefer these temperatures and they can also benefit from the hotel and flight prices being lower at this time of year. However, be prepared for more frequent rainfall during autumn.
Spring brings back the warmer weather, with average temperatures of between 14-17 degrees, that have been known to reach 22 degrees. This is a great season to go hiking and sightseeing as the temperatures are a lot more comfortable.
