Boasting year-round sunshine, Madeira holidays are ideal any time. A Portuguese island floating off the coast of Morocco, Madeira is loaded with gorgeous scenery, charming villages, and adventurous activities.
Things to Do in Madeira
- Stroll along the Cabo Girão Skywalk. At nearly 600 metres high, the highest cliff skywalk in Europe is not for the faint-hearted.
- Take a dip in the Lava Pools at Porto Moniz. These gorgeous salt-water pools are framed by black volcanic rock, and are ideal for a swim during the summer time.
- Spend a day in Funchal. Take the Monte Cable Car to the Tropical Gardens and the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. In the evening head to Leeno’s Bar and Restaurant for dinner. Be sure to book a table!
- Go dolphin watching. Madeira is one the best destinations for dolphin watching in Europe, and if you’re lucky you might see some whales too.
