Welcome to your Patagonia Adventure. This trip is perfect for anyone looking to explore some of Argentina’s most starkly beautiful landscape.
Travel to the end of the world to Tierra del Fuego, wander through the streets of exquisite Buenos Aires, or spend your summer skiing in South America’s finest ski resort. Argentina, the “Land of Silver” offers an assortment of exhilarating adventure to any willing traveller.
Stretching from the dense rainforests in the northeast, to the beautifully exposed landscape of Patagonia in the south, and boasting the cosmopolitan capital of Buenos Aires, Argentina is a paradise of stunning scenery, vivacious culture and wild adventure.
The world’s eighth largest nation, sparsely populated with only 36 million people, Argentina is a colossal country of diverse landscapes interlaced with a dynamic culture. The picturesque sights of the rural countryside contrast dramatically with the bustling scenes from the cities.
Buenos Aires, the “Paris of the South”, is an irresistible collage of colonial architecture, chic boutiques, and outdoor markets. The birthplace of the tango and the final resting place of Eva ‘Evita’ Perón, Buenos Aires is a city so full of romance that is sure to charm and captivate even the hardest of hearts.
City sights are only a small part of what this inspirational country has to offer. To the northeast are the dense forests of Misiones province and one of South America’s most magnificent sights, Iguazú Falls. An extraordinary reminder of the mighty power and dazzling beauty of nature, these waterfalls stretch as far as three kilometres.
Travel west and you shall meet the weird and wonderful canyons of Salta. Salta, the town itself, is packed full of colonial buildings, old churches and beautiful plazas, while the areas surrounding it are made up of desert landscape, arresting scenery and incredible wineries. Less European than the rest of the country, Salta is exceptionally rich in indigenous culture.
Travel south, and you will arrive in the Pampas, a vast land of prairies and farms where you can watch gauchos roam the rural landscape. Stay at one of the many charming ranches and spend a day or two playing a gaucho yourself by horse-riding through the rustic, open wilderness.
Farther west, and high into the Andes is Bariloche, a town surrounded by areas of pristine mountainous landscape. You can witness this spectacular scenery from this world class ski resort with luxury accommodation. The resort is also the gateway to Nahuel Huapi National Park, an enclosure rich in sparkling lakes, wild forests, and snow-capped mountain peaks.
At the southernmost tip of the country, is the extraordinary land of Patagonia. A landscape of boundless sweeping spaces and stunning scenery. Laced with mesmerising glaciers, jagged mountain peaks, and deep dark waters homing humpback and killer whales, Patagonia is a land of pure savage beauty and wild open adventure.
Arriving to the end of the world to the land of fire, Tierra del Fuego, and the city Ushuaia, gateway to Antarctica, Argentina is an inspiring land of vast contrasts, rousing adventure and wild untameable beauty, just waiting to be explored.
