South Africa - 'The Cape Escape'

South Africa - 'The Cape Escape'
We love South Africa and especially the Cape, but then who wouldn't. Spend ten nights exploring the beauty the Western Cape region has to offer. Experience the vibe of Cape Town, one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities, let the sun kiss your face under the blue sky while on safari in the majestic Little Karoo, let the beaches of the Whale Coast beckon with soft white sand and where whales frolic just off shore, all capped off with delicious food and wine which the Winelands are world famous for.
Touch down in Cape Town and we'll transfer you to the Cullinan Hotel for four nights, allowing you to explore the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Cape Peninsula at your leisure. We can arrange any number of half or full-day tours and give you advice on the local hotspots. Next we arrange a hire car with SAT NAV and you bid farewell to the coast, heading inland towards Wellington and the heart of the Cape Winelands. You spend two nights at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains which loom over this vast landscape. You experience quintessential Bush Safaris on the malaria-free 'Big 5' Sanbona Private Game Reserve with game drives through the park, or get up close to nature with guided bush walks, which are the best way to see the wildlife.

Head for the Whale Coast, home to a burgeoning wine industry (thanks to the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley) and this location boasts some of the best land-based whale-watching opportunities in the world.Sunny weather, endless white sand dunes and inviting rock pools, dolphins, porpoises and seals are all part of this oceanic experience whilst the greatest attraction remain the whales – mothers come here and calve in the protected Walker Bay

Your last night is spent in Stellenbosch, boasting beautiful scenic mountain views, the region produces some of the best wines of the Winelands and you may want to enjoy a guided cellar tour here. Sadly your trip ends when you return your hire car to the Cape Town Airport and you can wave Table Mountain a fond farewell knowing you enjoyed a truly unique 'Taste of the Cape'!
Best time to travel - AUG to NOV
The Cape has beautiful hot, dry weather in its summer months, while winter months are the best for whale watching, however the weather may be wet and cold. Cape Town and the Wine region are ideal if you want to escape the European winter.
