Kenya Safari Attractions

  • Nairobi National Park is the only national park in the world that borders a capital city, which makes it easier to access. The park also has the highest density of black rhino anywhere in the world, so you’re highly likely to find several of these gentle giants wandering around.

  • The iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve offers the chance to see one of the true wonders of the natural world, the great wildebeest migration.

  • The Sopa Lodge in Amboseli is particularly special, as the swimming pool has fantastic views of the nearby Mt Kilimanjaro.

  • The sublime beaches of the Mombasa make for a welcome way to unwind after your Kenya safari. You can also explore vibrant coral reefs in turquoise waters by snorkelling.

Best time to visit

June to October: This is the ideal time for a Kenya safari. The weather is clear and sunny, and temperatures are around 23-28°C. It is also the time of year that the great wildebeest migration visits the Maasai Mara, which is a sight to behold.

Mombasa have a warm climate throughout the year, and there aren’t any particularly bad months to travel. For underwater activities however, travelling in March – May or September – November will give you the best visibility.

Our opinion

- ‘'A Kenya safari can offer you superb game viewing. You are likely to see leopard, lion and cheetah in the Masai Mara, home of BBC’s Big Cat Diaries, not to mention more wildlife in the other Kenyan parks. After that, relax and unwind ’ pristine shores or explore its vibrant coral reefs. I advise mixing lazy days with location exploring to be seen too''
