Western Wonders Canada Honeymoon

Western Wonders Canada Honeymoon
Against the backdrop of the stunning Canadian Rockies, you’ll be brought to some of British Columbia’s most beautiful places on this western Canada honeymoon. Hot springs hidden amongst sprawling mountains, alpine forest stretching across the horizon and wonderful wildlife both inland and further out to sea are some of the things you’ll encounter.
Starting your honeymoon off in the city of Calgary, you’ll travel to some of the most naturally beautiful places in North America, from hot springs to peaceful lakes.
Resting high in the mountains, the 4-star Delta Lodge will be your base in Kananaskis. With luxurious spa facilities within the hotel, its location is perfect for a romantic stroll through the alpine forest.

Things to Do

  • Near the city of Calgary, the Heritage Park Historical Village makes for a unique day trip. Complete with costumed actors showing you the ways of life in 19th Century Western Canada, it’s an interesting insight into the nation’s past.
  • For nature lovers, Banff National Park is teeming with wildlife like bighorn sheep and the majestic bull elk. Stretching across an area bigger than the entire county of Galway, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Canadian Rockies.
  • Harrison Hot Springs will be your base for two nights, and the hotel is an attraction in itself. With a wide lakeside beach at one end, and luxurious hot springs at the other, it a place of blissful relaxation.

Best Time to Visit

Mar-May: The warmest weather is from June to August, but you’ll avoid peak season if you have your Western Canada honeymoon a bit earlier in the year. Prices can be cheaper, and the most popular spots can be more peaceful. Depending on what you want to do, the winter months from November to January coat the Rockies in a blanket of thick snow, making for some unforgettable photo opportunities.
