Cambodia Honeymoons

Cambodia Honeymoon

Cambodia is a beautiful Southeast Asian country that is home to the largest religious monument in the world, Angkor Wat. This monument was built in the 12th century and is of huge importance to Cambodian culture, so much so that the structure is on their national flag.

Why Cambodia Honeymoons?

Many people honeymoon in Cambodia and rave about the people, the unique Khmer culture, beautiful architecture and delicious food. Whether you’re looking for pure relaxation or and exciting adventure, you can do as much or as little as you want on a Cambodia honeymoon.

Things For Couples To Do

  • Angkor Thom was the last capital city of the ancient Khmer empire. The city was established in the 12th century and it is also where the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movies were filmed.
  • Spend a day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's bustling capital and walk along the river front which is lined with parks, restaurants and bars.
  • The National Museum of Cambodia gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into history on your Cambodia honeymoon. This museum is home to artefacts dating back to the 4th century as well as the world’s finest collection of Khmer sculptures.
  • Enjoy a romantic meal, unwind in a low-key bar or dance the night away at a nightclub when you visit the famous Siem Reap. This small but lively town has seen phenomenal growth as a tourist destination in the past few years.

Best Time To Visit

Nov-Feb: The cool season is the perfect time for a Cambodia honeymoon, as the weather is mild enough for sightseeing and warm enough to sunbathe on the beach. During the hot season temperatures and humidity rises. Phnom Penh can see temperatures as high as 35 degrees at this time of year. Many people like to visit the coast and laze on the gorgeous beaches.

Jun-Oct: Visiting in the wet months would be considerably quieter than it would be in the high season. The mornings are usually dry, but rainfall is frequent in the afternoon. Getting around can be difficult as many roads turn to mud. However, the country is a beautiful sight thanks to the lush greenery.

Why We Love Cambodia Honeymoons

Paul

“Cambodia has me hooked. It’s such a beautiful country made even more so by the local people, who are among the friendliest I’ve ever met. Phnom Penh is worth a visit, you can easily do a city tour and take in all the important sites like the Killing Fields. Angkor Wat is out of this world, and it really feels like you’re going back in time. I can't recommend a Cambodia honeymoon enough.”
